This Royal Gourmet is a 30 inch charcoal barrel grill with a firmly attached offset smoker on the side, intended for people who want grilling and smoking from one budget-friendly frame. The feature that sets it apart from its near-twin CC1830W is the easy-open side door on the firebox, which lets you feed charcoal and clear ash without lifting the firebox lid.

Our take
Cooking areas and the charcoal pan
The listing gives 811 sq in in total, made up of 443 sq in of porcelain-enamelled steel wire grates in the main barrel, a 184 sq in chrome-plated warming rack and 184 sq in in the offset smoker. Amazon's spec line quotes 800 sq in, so treat the totals as approximate.
A two-level, height-adjustable charcoal pan in the main chamber holds up to 4.4 lb of coal. Higher is for searing, lower for gentler heat.
Smoke flow, door and vent
Royal Gourmet says the offset box is firmly attached to ensure good circulation of heat and smoke into the main chamber. The side door handles fuel and ash, and an air vent on the box is there to stoke the fire quickly. A lid-mounted thermometer shows the chamber temperature.
With a modest charcoal capacity, a long smoke means regular topping up. The side door makes that easier than on designs where the firebox lid is the only access.
Dimensions and prep space
Amazon lists the grill at about 131 cm wide, 73 cm deep and 119 cm high, weighing 20.5 kg. Front and side tables give room for seasonings and tools, and the bottom shelf takes up to 20 lb of accessories when the load is spread out. Assembly is required.
The listing title mentions camping, but at this size it is really a patio grill rather than something to pack in a car.
Choosing between this and its rivals
The Royal Gourmet CC1830W is almost the same grill with wood-painted tables, 22.4 kg in weight, and no firebox side door described. The Oklahoma Joe's Laredo 1100 is a heavier, larger offset with a dedicated 184 sq in firebox and an adjustable smokestack. The Weber Smokey Mountain 14.5 in is a compact vertical alternative.
Verdict
The Royal Gourmet 30 in offset suits a grill-first cook who wants easy access to the firebox for refuelling and ash. If you prefer the wood-effect tables, the CC1830W is the same idea. If you plan regular all-day smokes for a crowd, the Oklahoma Joe's Laredo 1100 is better suited to the job.
