Electric outdoor grills

Plug-in outdoor grills suit balconies and small patios where charcoal or gas is awkward or not allowed. Compare cooking area, power in W and whether a lid comes with it.

Typical power
1,600 to 2,400 W

Electric grills heat a plate or element rather than a flame, so they are easier to use where open fires are banned, such as on many flat balconies. Check your lease or building rules first.

Look at the cooking area in cm² and the power in watts. A lid helps the grill reach temperature on a cool day and lets you cook thicker food through.

Some woodfire-style models add a small pellet tray for smoke flavour while the heat still comes from the element.
