Our take
Eight functions
The oven offers pizza, max roast, gourmet roast, top heat, bake, smoker, dehydrate and keep warm. The pizza function has its own settings for artisan, thin, New York, deep pan, calzone and custom styles, and a pizza stone is included.
Ninja quotes 370°C as the high-heat mode, inspired by brick ovens for charring and blistering. The three-minute pizza time excludes preheating.
Capacity and smoke
Inside, Ninja says it fits a 5 kg beef joint, two racks of ribs, a traybake meal or a 12 inch pizza. Smoke comes from 100 percent hardwood pellets used only for flavour, not as fuel. You can run a low and slow smoke or add a burst of smoke to any other function.
The bundle includes Robust Blend and All-Purpose Blend starter packs with the oven, plus the separate 900 g Robust Blend bag, which mixes hickory, cherry, maple and oak according to the listing.
Oven, not grill
This is the important distinction. The Outdoor Oven has a front door and racks, so you get oven-style cooking rather than grill bars and char lines. If you want seared steaks with stripes, a grill is the better tool.
The listing does not state weight, outer dimensions or whether a probe or app is supported, so check Ninja's page for those.
Oven or one of the Woodfire grills?
The Ninja Woodfire OG701UK is a 12 kg outdoor grill and air fryer with seven functions and pellet smoke, fitting eight burgers. The Ninja Woodfire Pro Connect XL OG901UK adds a probe and app with room for 10 burgers. Both give grill marks; the Outdoor Oven gives pizza and bigger roasts.
Verdict
The Woodfire Outdoor Oven suits families who love homemade pizza and slow roasts with a touch of smoke, and want the pellets included. If grilling is the priority, the Ninja Woodfire OG701UK is the compact all-rounder, and the Pro Connect XL is the better buy if you want a probe and app control.
