Our take
Burner layout
The listing describes eight stainless steel burners delivering 27.7 kW combined, each lit and adjusted from its own rotary control with LED-lit dials. Six sit under the main grate. The others are a rotisserie back burner and an infrared side sear zone. CosmoGrill does not split out the output of each burner, so you cannot tell from the page how strong the side searer is on its own.
The maker states the BBQ can reach over 350 °C and has a built-in thermometer in the hood.
Rotisserie and cooking area
This bundle includes a steel motorised rotisserie that the listing says suits small to medium chickens. With the back burner behind it, the spit gives you even browning without turning the bird by hand.
The main grate is cast iron, with a centre section that lifts out for a pizza stone or pan. The specification puts the cooking surface at 3,801 cm², which is a lot of space for burgers and kebabs at a party.
Size, storage and setup
Expect a footprint of about 160 cm wide and a weight of 51.5 kg. A foldable side table gives prep room, the lower cabinet has doors to hide a gas bottle and accessories, and four lockable castors help you position it.
A propane regulator and hose are included, and the 600D Oxford cover protects it when not in use. The grease tray and grates lift out for cleaning.
Compared with the 4+2 and the Genesis II
The CosmoGrill Platinum 4+2 is shorter and lighter, states 4 kW for its searer and has a glass window in the hood, but this listing for it does not include a rotisserie. The Weber Genesis II E-310 GBS has fewer burners and less stated power, but a heavier 77 kg cart and a GBS grate. If raw grate space and a spit matter most, the 6+2 is the one.
Verdict
The Platinum 6+2 bundle suits a host with a large patio who wants a rotisserie and plenty of grate space from day one. Smaller households should look at the CosmoGrill Platinum 4+2, and anyone who wants a conventional hob ring for pans may prefer the CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 6+1.
