The CosmoGrill Platinum 6+2 is a large stainless steel gas barbecue built for big gatherings and people who like having every option on one cart. Its defining features are the two extra burners: an infrared side sear zone for steaks and a rotisserie back burner for spit roasting. Combined with six main burners, CosmoGrill quotes a total of 27.7 kW.

In its favour
- Six main burners and 27.7 kW in total give the widest grill and most heat in this guide.
- An infrared side sear zone and rotisserie back burner add cooking options for parties.
- A propane regulator and hose are included, so it is ready to connect to a UK bottle.
Good to know
- The listed cooking area of 92 cm² is clearly an error, so check the real grate size.
- At 160 cm wide it is one of the largest footprints here.
Our take
Burners, heat and controls
All eight stainless steel burners ignite and adjust individually through rotary controls, which have LED lighting for evening cooking. CosmoGrill says the grill reaches over 350°C, and a built-in thermometer in the lid shows the temperature.
The infrared sear zone is designed for fast, intense heat on a small area, while the rear rotisserie burner cooks a joint or chicken slowly as it turns. The listing describes the burner, not a rotisserie spit, so check whether the spit kit is included.
Grates and cleaning
The cooking grates are cast iron and the centre section is removable for pizza stones or pans. Removable grates and a grease tray handle cleaning, and CosmoGrill says the stainless body needs only a wipe down. A propane regulator and hose are included.
One spec line gives the cooking area as 92 cm², which cannot be right for a grill this size. The real grate dimensions are not given elsewhere in the listing, so ask the seller or check CosmoGrill's own page.
Size, storage and mobility
The grill is about 160 cm wide, 50 cm deep and 115 cm high and weighs 51.5 kg. A hidden compartment keeps the gas bottle out of sight, the bottom shelf has doors, and a foldable side table gives prep space. Four lockable castor wheels make it easier to reposition than its width suggests. Assembly is required.
Platinum 6+2 against the Weber Genesis models
The Weber Genesis E-425S lists 17.6 kW with a sear burner, Crossover electronic ignition and GBS, at 83.8 kg. The Weber Genesis II E-310 GBS gives a confirmed 3,456 cm² area and a side burner at 11.43 kW. The CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 6+1 offers 3,214 cm² and a side burner in a similar style.
Verdict
The Platinum 6+2 suits hosts who want maximum stated power, a sear zone and a rotisserie burner on one stainless cart. If you prefer a confirmed grate size and long-established parts support, the Weber Genesis II E-310 GBS is the safer choice, and the CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 6+1 is the simpler option from the same brand.
