The CosmoGrill Platinum 4+2 is a stainless steel cart BBQ with four main burners plus two specialist ones: a ceramic infrared searer on the side and a ceramic back burner. It is built for a household that grills often and wants restaurant-style crusts on steak. The tempered glass window in the hood is the feature you will not find on most rivals.

In its favour
- The listing states every burner output, including the 4 kW ceramic side searer, so you know what you are buying.
- A 37 mbar propane regulator and hose are included, so you only need a gas bottle to start.
- A tempered glass window in the hood lets you check food without lifting the lid.
Good to know
- The side unit is an infrared searer, not a hob ring, so it suits steak better than a pan of sauce.
- At 140 cm wide and 43 kg it needs a fair amount of patio space.
Our take
Burners and heat
CosmoGrill gives every figure: four 3.5 kW stainless steel main burners, a 3.2 kW ceramic back burner and a 4 kW ceramic searer, for 21.2 kW combined. The specification table shows 20.7 kW, so expect a small difference depending on where you read. The maker says the hood can reach up to 370 °C.
The infrared searer works differently from a hob ring. It throws intense radiant heat upward, which is ideal for a quick, dark sear on steak or chops. It is less suited to simmering a pan of sauce gently, so think about which kind of side burner you will actually use.
The viewing window and cooking surface
A tempered glass panel in the lid lets you see food with the hood down. Each time you lift a lid, heat escapes, so being able to check a roasting chicken without opening up keeps temperatures steadier.
The main grate is a removable four-piece cast iron surface with 2,982 cm² of cooking area. Cast iron holds heat well and leaves strong grill marks, though it needs oiling to keep rust away in damp weather.
Setup, storage and moving it
A clip-on 37 mbar propane regulator and hose are in the box, so you only need a propane bottle. A gas bottle shield and flame tamers are listed, along with a removable grease tray. The top includes a chopping board over a hidden drinks compartment, there is a bottom shelf for pans, and four lockable wheels move the 43 kg unit around.
The footprint is about 140 x 55 cm, with a height of 115 cm.
Next to the other side-burner grills
The CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 6+1 has a conventional 2.5 kW side ring and six smaller burners, which suits sauces and sides better, but it ships without a regulator. The CosmoGrill Platinum 6+2 adds two more main burners, a motorised rotisserie and a cover, in a longer and heavier body.
Verdict
Buy the Platinum 4+2 if you want a stated, powerful searer, a glass window to watch the food and a regulator in the box. If the side burner is mainly for pans, the CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 6+1 is the more practical pick, and the Platinum 6+2 suits bigger parties that want a rotisserie.
