The Master-Touch Premium E-5770 is a 57 cm Weber kettle built around a folding stainless steel cooking grate with the Gourmet BBQ System. It suits regular charcoal cooks who refuel during long cooks and like the option of GBS inserts. What separates it from the Master-Touch GBS E-5750 on paper is that stainless grate, which resists rust and is easy to keep clean.

In its favour

  • A stainless steel folding grate opens to add coals and resists rust better than plated steel.
  • The Gourmet BBQ System centre accepts Weber inserts for pizza, wok or griddle cooking.
  • A folding side table gives a little prep space without a full cart.

Good to know

  • The listing does not describe the ash system or damper layout.
  • At 24 kg it is heavier than the Original Kettle for the same grill size.

Our take

Three bullets and the spec sheet

Weber's Amazon listing makes three points: a folding stainless steel grill with the Gourmet BBQ System, a solid steel charcoal grate and a porcelain-enamelled kettle and lid. The specs add a folding side table among the features and a weight of 24 kg, with overall dimensions of about 100 x 65 x 76 cm.

There are some odd figures, including a cooking area of 1,037 cm², which looks low for a 57 cm kettle, and a height given in metres. Treat those as data errors and rely on the 57 cm size.

Folding stainless grate and GBS

A folding grate has sections that lift so you can add charcoal or smoking wood without moving all the food. On long indirect cooks, that saves a lot of fiddling. Stainless steel is a durable choice that will not flake like plated steel over time.

The Gourmet BBQ System centre lifts out for inserts such as a griddle, wok or pizza stone, sold separately, which widens what one kettle can cook.

What to check before buying

The listing does not describe the ash system, the damper layout or a thermometer. On Weber's premium kettles these features matter for cleaning and control, so look at the product photos or Weber's page to confirm them.

The listing marks the E-5770 as not requiring assembly, although some setup on arrival is likely for any kettle on legs.

Within the Weber kettle line-up

The Original Kettle Premium 57 cm is lighter at 13.6 kg with One-Touch cleaning and a lid thermometer, but has a plated steel, non-hinged grate. The Master-Touch GBS Premium E-5775 adds a char ring and diffuser plate for smoking. The Performer Premium GBS puts the GBS grate on a work table cart.

Verdict

The Master-Touch Premium E-5770 suits charcoal regulars who want a folding stainless GBS grate for easy refuelling and inserts. If you mainly grill quickly and want the lightest kettle, the Original Kettle Premium 57 cm is simpler, and those keen on smoking will get more from the Master-Touch GBS Premium E-5775 with its char ring and diffuser.
