The Performer Deluxe GBS sits at the top of Weber's charcoal kettle range, mounting the bowl in a wheeled cart for people who grill often and want a workstation rather than a stand. The feature the listing chooses to highlight is the closed ash box underneath, which Weber says makes cleaning considerably easier than an open catcher. It is aimed at regular charcoal cooks with patio space to spare.

Our take
What the listing tells you
Amazon's text is short: the wheels let you roll the grill where it is needed, a closed ash box underneath helps with cleaning, it is the deluxe version and it has a large surface area. The specs add overall dimensions of 126 x 72 x 102 cm and a weight of 35 kg. Assembly is required.
The cooking area appears as 54.5 cm² in the spec sheet, which is clearly an error, and the grate is not described. GBS in the name points to the Gourmet BBQ System, but the listing does not spell that out.
The closed ash box
On a standard kettle, ash drops into an open catcher that can blow about in the wind. A closed box keeps it contained until you are ready to empty it, which is tidier on a patio and easier to carry to the bin without a trail of dust.
The listing does not mention ignition, so if you were expecting a gas-assisted lighting system, check Weber's own description.
Cart, space and who it suits
At 126 cm wide, the Performer Deluxe takes up much more room than a plain kettle, but the cart gives you a working surface and somewhere to store charcoal and tools. At 35 kg, it is lighter than the 48 kg Performer Premium GBS on paper.
It suits people who barbecue several times a month; an occasional user will get the same food from a simpler kettle.
Deluxe, Premium or a plain kettle?
The Weber Performer Premium GBS has a folding work table, two char baskets and an extra large single-handle ash collector, with a clearer listing. The Original Kettle Premium 57 cm offers One-Touch cleaning and a lid thermometer at 13.6 kg. The Master-Touch Premium E-5770 gives a folding stainless GBS grate without the cart.
Verdict
The Performer Deluxe GBS suits frequent charcoal cooks who want a cart, a closed ash box and space to work, and who will confirm grate details with Weber. If you want the features spelled out, the Performer Premium GBS is better documented, and for occasional grilling the Original Kettle Premium 57 cm does the job in far less space.
