The Weber Q2200 is the larger tabletop Q, for households that want enough grate to cook a whole meal at once but still like the idea of taking the grill away occasionally. Its main appeal is the 54 x 39 cm cooking surface, a big step up from the Q 1100N and Q 1200N, combined with fold-out side tables that drop away for storage.

In its favour
- A 2,106 cm² grill is large for a tabletop and handles a whole family meal in one go.
- Fold-out side tables fold down for storage, keeping the packed shape tidy.
- A removable catch pan collects grease for easy clean-up on site.
Good to know
- At 131 cm wide with tables open it needs a big table or stand to sit on.
- The listing does not state burner output, so compare it on Weber's page.
Our take
Grate and heat
The cooking grate is a two-piece porcelain-enamelled cast iron design, which Weber says spreads heat evenly across the surface and holds it well. The spec sheet gives 2,106 cm² of area, room for burgers, sausages and vegetables together.
The listing does not state burner output in kW, so check Weber's own page if you want to compare power directly. There is one burner, and a lid thermometer shows the temperature inside.
Tables and cleaning
Folding side tables keep small dishes, seasonings and tools within reach and fold down when it is time to pack away. Grease is funnelled into a removable catch pan underneath, which keeps clean-up simple. Emptying the pan after every few cooks stops old fat building up under the burner, which is the most common cause of smoky flare-ups on a compact gas grill.
Weber describes the Q2200 as small enough to barbecue on the go, with enough space for an entire meal.
Size, weight and support
With the tables out, the Q2200 is about 131 cm wide, 49.5 cm deep and 39.4 cm high, and it weighs 19.7 kg. It needs a large, heat-safe table or a dedicated stand. That makes it more of a garden grill that can travel than a true camping grill. Assembly is required.
The warranty is listed as up to five years, and EU spare parts are stated to be available for five years.
Q2200 or a smaller portable?
The Weber Q 1200N has side tables and a high-dome lid on a 1,290 cm² grate at 17 kg. The Weber Traveler gives a larger 63 x 34 cm grill on its own folding trolley at 21.1 kg, with 3.8 kW stated. The Weber Q 1100N is the lightweight choice at 9.1 kg.
Verdict
The Q2200 suits households who want a large Q grate with side tables and mostly cook at home, with the odd trip away. If you camp often, the Weber Traveler brings its own stand, and if you cook for two and value portability, the Q 1100N or Q 1200N are lighter and smaller.
